Infrastructure Solution Architect (System P & Storage)
Job Summary:
GBM is seeking experienced technical professionals to drive cross brand sales of IBM Power Systems and Storage.
Job Responsibilities:
The Power Systems Software technical professional is a “consultative architect”. These architects are expected to be technical sales leaders, helping account sales teams drive cross brand software and hardware revenue, focused on the Power Systems platform. They are expected to develop close relationships with executive decision makers and key technical influencers in their assigned accounts, becoming a trusted advisor. Responsibilities include leading architectural design workshops, developing innovative solutions that map to the client's business requirements, and leading cross functional teams to recommend, propose, and implement these solutions. This is done through formal design sessions and working directly with the customer architectural staff. This individual also contributes to the repository of Power Systems and IBM Software assets.
Qualifications Required:
A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science or any other relevant field is a must.

Virtualization and Server Consolidation for Power Systems : Hands On / Expert
IBM Storage Solutions, disks, tapes and SAN: Hands On / Expert
IBM TSM and TPC hands on: Applied
Collecting, analyzing and interpreting information leading to a Total Cost of Operation recommendation : Applied
Knowledge of Tivoli offerings for improved Service Management : Applied
Knowledge of emerging Industry Solutions : Acquired
Comfortable advising the CIO and CTO at key clients : Acquired
